Count words, characters, sentences, paragraphs, and reading time.
A word counter is more than just a word tally — it gives you a complete snapshot of your text. Mizakii's word counter tracks six metrics simultaneously: total words, total characters (including spaces), characters without spaces, sentence count, paragraph count, and estimated reading time. Every metric updates live as you type, so you never need to click a button.
Reading time is estimated at 200 words per minute, the widely-cited average for adult silent reading. A 1,000-word blog post takes about 5 minutes; a 2,500-word long-form article takes roughly 12–13 minutes. This metric is particularly useful for content creators who want to match their article length to a target reading time before publishing.
| Platform / Field | Character limit | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Twitter / X post | 280 | URLs count as 23 chars regardless of length |
| Instagram caption | 2,200 | Only first ~125 chars shown before "more" |
| Instagram bio | 150 | Displayed in full on profile |
| LinkedIn post | 3,000 | Posts over 210 chars are truncated |
| Google meta title | 50–60 | Roughly 600px wide — longer titles are cut |
| Google meta description | 155–160 | Displayed in SERPs, affects click-through |
| SMS (GSM) | 160 | Single SMS; multi-part starts at 153 chars each |
| WhatsApp message | 65,536 | Effectively unlimited for normal use |
| YouTube title | 100 | Only ~70 chars shown in search results |
| YouTube description | 5,000 | First 100–120 chars shown without expanding |
Word count is one of the most debated metrics in SEO. While Google has repeatedly stated that word count alone is not a ranking factor, studies consistently show that top-ranking pages tend to be longer — not because of length itself, but because comprehensive content naturally covers more related topics, earns more backlinks, and satisfies searcher intent more fully.
